New Year's Eve

Saturday, January 13, 2007

For New Year's Eve we had Oma, Claudia, Ruth, and Diana over. The first couple pictures are from the memory game. We decided to let the girls stay up for New Year's Eve. We weren't sure if Sarah was going to make it or not, but we were sure that Anna was so excited about it that she would make it for sure. After 11pm we still had some time before the count down and so I did our little fireworks and the girls watched. After midnight we all did our toast (the girls with kiddy bubbly, of course) then we went out and watched all the fireworks around us. I'm always surprised to see how many fireworks people shoot off around here. We had a nice party and girls had a lot of fun. Bye for now.

Christmas Part 2

In Germany for Christmas much of the celebrating is done on Christmas Eve, then there is Christmas Day, and the second day of Christmas. On Christmas Day, Claudia came to visit us. On the second day of Christmas we were visited by Ruth and Diana, neighbors from Geinsheim. Oma found a memory game in one of her magizines and cut it out. The first two pictures are of us playing that game. We found out that Anna is very good at this memory game and we played a lot of it. The last two pictures were inspired by Oma putting cucumber skins on her face, so of course when she did it the girls had to do it as well. Bye for now.

Christmas Part 1

Here is a picture of the girls in front of the tree before all the packages were openned. The second picture is of Anna in front of a dolly bed that she and Sarah received. The third picture is of Sarah in front of a dolly high chair. The last picture is of several of the Barbie princess dolls that the girls received. The got one package with most of the Disney princesses (Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, and so on). Another favorite was of the girls was the colorful horses with manes that you can come. Ok for Dad this is a long way away from the GI Joe with Kung-fu grip that was dreamed about when I was a boy. Bye for now.

Christmas Eve

Here are some pictures of Kleine Gerau taken on Christmas Eve. The church is behind the building with the clock. I wasn't able to get a good picture of the church. The church is relatively small. We attended the family service which had a nice program put on by the kids. The santuary in the church is in the German second floor, so you have to climb the stairs to go to the services there. Bye for now.

Royal Bath

Here are some pictures of Anna and Sarah enjoying the new bath tub. The two of them were the first ones to use the new bath tub. They really enjoyed it. I guess when you're a kid this is the next best thing to a swimming pool! Bye for now.

Back Online!!!

Happy New Year! I hope that your holidays were good. On December 28th we finally got the modem that we needed so we finally use our phone and get online again. Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve.

There aren't too many pictures of the whole family, since I usually am the one taking them. Oma was with us when we picked her and the girls up after the move until a couple of days after Christmas.

I hope that 2007 is a good year for everyone. Bye for now.
