Ireland 2006 Part 4

Friday, March 16, 2007

Here are some more pictures taken at Muckross Abbey. Here you can see the remains of the abbey and the cemetary that remains. The third picture is of a tombstone that we saw there.

The saying goes

"Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not here. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn rain.
When you wake up in the morning hush,

I am the swift uplifing rush of quiet birds in
circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at mz grave and cry;
I am not here. I did not die."

The last picture is of Anna at a near-by waterfall. More to come...

Ireland 2006 Part 3

Here are some pictures taken at Muckross Abbey. This was very close to the house that we rented. The castle was on a lake and there was an old abbey as well. I'll post those pictures later. More to come...

Ireland 2006 Part 2

Here are some more pictures from our 2006 trip to Ireland. The first picture is of Christine, Claudia, and the girls. The second is of Claudia and the girls at the airport waiting for our plane to Kerry. Today is Claudia's birthday... Happy Birthday Claudia!!! The third picture is of Tante Marion and Anna. The forth picture is of the girls in outfits that we bought for them at Tesco. We loved Tesco, there was a nice one close to where we were staying that was open 24 hours a day and we were even there twice on one Sunday. While it isn't a great big American supermarket, it sure was nice and it offered a lot of things that we can't get where we live. More pictures coming soon...

Ireland 2006 Part 1

Last year at this time we were in Ireland along with Claudia and Christine's Aunt Marion. All of the pictures here are from the Cliffs of Moher. I must admit that the pictures don't do it justice, it is an amazing place. It was a cold day with strong winds coming off the Atlantic! More pictures from Ireland coming up...

Progress in the Living Room

Here a couple of pictures to show what we've done in the living room. You don't see the color of the curtains so well but they go pretty well with the sofas and color on the walls. On the wall behind the televison is a house warming gift the we received it is made of wire and has several candle holders with vanilla candles, again the red goes well with the room. Behind the sofa is a painting of a farm house that we have had since shortly after we got married.

Bye for now.

Progress on the Master Bedroom

Here are a couple of photos that show some of the changes that we've made with the master bedroom. They might not look like it in the picture or on your computer screen but the curtains are a light green that goes very well with the color on the walls. We've also added the lamps on the wall and the duvae covers go pretty well with the color scheme.

Bye for now.
